The happy power animals are cousins to the whiners, another category here. And just like them, these are images that captures something in the moment, displayed in a small and simple format. 
I usually paint them after a day of painting, like a way to let go of a bigger project and allow myself to indulge in something playful. It is also a way of trying a feeling or element.

These images have in their simple manners a power  and comfort. They push me further on and upwards, often packaged in humor. The presence of the sketch work is something I try to keep.
